Compared to Punta Cana, Juan Dolio is quieter, more Dominican in feel and much closer to Santo Domingo's colonial city, Las Américas International Airport (SDQ) and the Los Tres Ojos caves. There is one toll booth on the route (approx. RD$ 300 total in tolls, already included in your flat price). We recommend booking a private transfer rather than piecing together taxi + guagua: total travel time by public transport can exceed 5 hours with multiple transfers in La Romana and San Pedro.
