Why the buggy tour is a Punta Cana must

If you want one adrenaline-fueled excursion during your Punta Cana trip, the buggy tour is it. You drive your own 4x4 buggy through Dominican backcountry — mud puddles, cacao and coffee plantations, traditional houses and a Taino cave with an underground freshwater cenote.

The tour ends at Macao Beach, a wild Atlantic-facing stretch of sand with crashing surf and zero hotels. Bring goggles for the cenote swim.
