Buggies are 2-seater 4x4 cars where one drives and one rides shotgun. ATVs (quads) are solo 4-wheel motorcycles, more agile and a bit more intense. If you want to ride solo and you're comfortable on a bike, choose ATV. If you want to share the experience with a friend or partner, choose the buggy.
El tour ATV (quad) en Punta Cana sale de un rancho privado en las montañas de Anamuya, a 30 minutos de Bávaro. Tras un briefing de seguridad, recorres senderos de montaña, cruzas un río poco profundo, paras en una cueva taína y bajas a Playa Macao para nadar.
Las quads son 4×4 automáticas — no se necesita experiencia previa, solo sentirte cómodo sobre una moto. Duración total del tour: 4-5 horas con pickup y regreso al hotel incluidos.
08:30 or 14:00 — Hotel pickup in A/C van. Choose the morning departure to beat the heat or the afternoon slot for golden-hour shots at Macao Beach.
+30 min — Arrival at the Anamuya mountain ranch. Safety briefing, helmet and goggles fitting, short practice loop to get used to the throttle and brake.
+15 min — Departure in guided convoy, one rider per quad (or 2-up if you prefer).
+45 min — Mountain trails through the Anamuya foothills: dirt switchbacks, scenic viewpoints over the Bávaro coastline, river crossing.
+30 min — Taino cave stop with a quick visit and photos.
+45 min — Final off-road stretch down to Macao Beach for a swim, refreshments and the famous wild-surf photo spot.
+45 min — Return ride to the ranch and van back to your hotel. Total experience: 4–5 hours door-to-door, ~3 hours on the quad.
